From the Board

Greetings,

Along with the development of communication technology and the complicated state of the current world, understanding people in different cultures is crucial. Many universities in the USA only offer major foreign languages or traditionally established language courses but have difficulty offering less commonly taught languages partly due to financial obstacles.

NASILP (National Association of Self-Instructional Language Programs) has been helping many institutions to offer language courses without the financial burden of hiring a full-time instructor. This is possible with the system of native/near native speakers of the language – tutors and online technology, and external examiners. Contact us for more information to see how we can help you and your students to open their minds to the diverse world with another language you can offer.

Sincerely,
NASILP Board of Directors
